A Bit About Me

I’ve been a design obsessive since I was a sniveling carpet crawler, brewed up by cackling hags out on a hillside in Linlithgow, Scotland all of 22 years ago. The basis for what I do lies in combining traditional print design values with the power and flexibility offered by digital technology.

I have around 8 years experience in web design and hand-code sites using TextMate with a firm rooting in modern web standards. I’m definitely on the ‘designer’ side of the ‘programmer/designer’ fence, but have strong front-end coding skills - particularly XHTML and CSS. I’ve dealt with a fair bit of Javascript in my time (including the Mootools and Prototype frameworks), and am often involved in projects with further XML, PHP and Flash/Actionscript coding.

I'm a bit of a typography nut and occasionally dabble in a bit of illustration, mainly for t-shirts and posters. Outside of the design world, I play in (and do the graphic work for) a band called Plastic Stasi and very occasionally write electronic music as Koether too.
